Oily Skin
Poor diets with high glycemic foods: sugar, soda, refined flour, vegetarian, with scant animal protein and fats lead to insulin-resistance and also increase sebum production. Sebum is the skin’s natural oil and it is necessary to keep the skin soft and healthy, but overproduction of sebum makes oily skin, acne, and blackheads. Improved diet along with topical prescription retinoids can bring control to oily skin.
